How to add the HomeKeeper Development Team as a new User

The navigation is a little different depending if you're using Salesforce Classic or Salesforce Lightning. If you're not sure, toggle the instructions options to see which screen looks like yours.

Classic Instructions

1. Log in and Navigate to Setup

Go to login.salesforce.com and log in using your new username and password that you picked when you setun your Salesforce account.  In the upper right hand corner of the screen, next to “help and training”, is the name you are logged in as.  That name is a menu, from this menu, choose “Setup”

At the left hand side of the setup screen, under “Administrative Setup”, choose “Manage Users” and then choose “Users.” Choose the “New User” button from the middle section of the screen.

3. Create the developer user

Create a new user with the following settings:

a. Last Name = HomeKeeper

b. Alias = HKeeper

c. Email = developer@MyHomeKeeper.org

d. Username = developer@**Enter YOUR ORG**.org (for example, if your email is John@mnvCLT.org, then create a new username: developer@mnvCLT.org)

e. Community Nickname = HomeKeeper Developer

f. User License = Salesforce

g. Profile = System Administrator

h. At the bottom of the page, make sure “Generate new password and notify user immediately” is checked and then hit the Save button.

DONE!

Lightning Instructions

1. Log in and navigate to Setup

2. Type "user" into the quick find, click user then "New User"

3. Create the developer user

Create a new user with the following settings:

a. Last Name = HomeKeeper

b. Alias = HKeeper

c. Email = developer@MyHomeKeeper.org

d. Username = developer@**Enter YOUR ORG**.org (for example, if your email is John@mnvCLT.org, then create a new username: developer@mnvCLT.org)

e. Community Nickname = HomeKeeper Developer

f. User License = Salesforce

g. Profile = System Administrator

h. At the bottom of the page, make sure “Generate new password and notify user immediately” is checked and then hit the Save button.

DONE!
