I don't understand where my information is when it is "in the clouds" and whether or not salesforce owns my data.
Where exactly is this data stored and do homebuyers need to sign any kind of release?

Tiffany Eng It’s stored on Salesforce.com’s servers, which are located in a variety of physical locations, depending on where you’re accessing your database from physically. They use both east and west coasts server farms to reduce latency in connections. They’re 100% HIPAA compliant. There’s more information on the security and privacy here:

No release is necessary for homebuyers. A variety of commerce, accrediting and other financial institutions use Salesforce as well (Merril Lynch, etc.), and the end user (HomeKeeper Organizations) always have the rights to the data, no ownership is transferred, at all.
